After assessing pain, its impact on activity, examination and imaging, and the response to non-surgical treatment. The decision is individual and is not based on an X-ray alone.
What should I bring to my appointment?+
Previous imaging and reports, if available; your medication list; investigation results; and any information about previous operations or treatments.
Does every bone tumor or mass require surgery?+
No. Thankfully, most of these cases are benign and require only follow-up after clinical assessment and diagnosis. Other cases may require advanced imaging, biopsy or treatment. Specialist assessment before any procedure is therefore very important.
